Sony announced a new revision of the PS5 Digital Edition. Aiming to improve the manufacturing numbers of the unit and to get more consoles to people’s homes. This is a good thing.

The model CFI-1100B01 is already out in Japan. The new model is 300 grams lighter than the release model but it has the exactly same computing power. So, it doesn’t really make any difference performance-wise.

Only time will tell if we actually see the mid-gen refreshes this time around like PS4 Pro and Xbox One X during the last generation.
