There was a fake news reported by the Gamespot day or two ago where they falsely said that the Cyberpunk 2077 would include microtransactions. When in reality what was said by the CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski that Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer game, which is completely separate project from the single player experience Cyberpunk 2077 will have monetization or microstransactions but still won’t be aggressive and they are trying to give their players a real value for any purchase.

First of all Gamespot called Adam Kicinski a developer but in reality he’s an executive (CEO) at the CD Projekt which itself is not the same thing as CD Projekt RED, the developer of the Cyberpunk 2077. Second there will be two totally separately sold games. A Single player game called Cyberpunk 2077, set to release this November 19th and unnamed multiplayer spin-off game coming out at soonest in 2022.
It’s clear that the article and others like it were produced in aim of getting clicks to their sites which are dying. We call it a clickbait. They knew what they were doing. Even though they have now updated those articles but the damage is already done.
There are lots of people on Twitter saying that CDPR lied about the microtransactions in the Cyberpunk 2077 and won’t be buying the game now because of it. When any of that isn’t true.
There’s a reason why those sites are dying. And that’s because the mainstream media is a joke for the real gamers in today’s world. That’s one reason why this very site was created, to report gaming news and reviews for the gamers from the gamers. You can safely buy the Cyberpunk 2077 and get a full single player experience without microtransactions or other monetization on top your initial purchase.
