The situation with Cyberpunk 2077 and its disastrous launch has gone even grimmer. Sony has decided to completely remove the game from the PlayStation Store and is offering refunds to all players who bought the game digitally from thevPS Store, no questions asked!
This is how to get your refund. You can find the original story on PlayStation.com. And there’s a link to start the process.
This is a good thing. I hope other developers and publishers take notes. You just cannot lie to the platform holder that the game will be fixed until launch. Yes, that’s what CDPR did, they lied to Sony and Microsoft that the game would be fixed until the paying customers will get their hands on it. Well, it wasn’t. I wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft would follow suit soon.
I think the biggest reason for this that CDPR encouraged players to go Sony and ask for a refund if they are not satisfied with their purchase of Cyberpunk 2077. As we all know that Sony usually doesn’t accept returns if you have even downloaded the game! How could you return something you already played a couple of hours to see it’s broken! But still, CDPR told players to ask them anyway and that made Sony’s customer service explode with the requests and many have been denied by Sony. I think Sony should rethink this policy or at least make even more sure that the games they sell on their market place aren’t broken!
How has the mighty CD Projekt RED fallen! Lies about the features of Cyberpunk 2077. Deceiving review process to make sure people wouldn’t see how broken the console versions of this game were. All this while admitting to their real customers, the investors that they knew it was bad but decided to do it anyway!
We on PSFAN.NET hope you’ll get your refund from Sony if you bought Cyberpunk 2077 after being lied to. Also, merry Christmas and happy new year! Let’s hope this starts the change for the better in the gaming landscape.
