Let’s go to the elephant in the room right away. It seems to be disappointing for many people that this upgrade isn’t free for anyone, not even those who already own the game on PS4 and I can understand that but it is what it is. As for now it comes bundled with the Ultimate Edition of the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and maybe available separately in the future.

Another thing that is dividing opinions on the Internet is the new Peter Parker face model. Some people don’t like the new one at all and saying he looks too young, especially compared to the original one. Graphically the new one is superior in every conceivable way though.
This remastered version also has number of other graphical improvements all over the place and probably the most noteworthy one being ray traced reflections that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will also feature.

The game will take advantage of other new hardware features the PS5 has to offer like instant loading times, although you can turn on the old loading masking animations of the original if you really want to, 3D spatial audio that utilizes all new Tempest Audio Engine which works basically on any compatible headphone or sound system. It also utilizes the DualSense controllers new haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
They also detailed pre-order bonuses and other details but I’ll make another article about that. Below are the new trailer you can watch if you haven’t done so already or just watch them again.
